Terms of Service
These Terms govern the website, browser extensions, official clients that YTVT makes available, accounts, purchases, subscriptions, real-time translation, subtitles, translated speech, and related support services.
By creating an account, installing an extension, buying a plan, or using YTVT, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, applicable payment terms, and product rules shown to you. When you complete a Paddle transaction, Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply to the payment transaction.
1. Eligibility and Availability
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and meet any applicable minimum-age requirements. YTVT is available only in supported regions. You may not use the Service where prohibited by applicable law or where we do not make the Service available.
2. Account Security
You must provide accurate account information and protect your credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account. Contact support promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. We may restrict or suspend access for security, abuse, payment failure, legal requirements, or a material breach of these Terms.
3. Plans, Usage, and Billing
Free includes 15 one-time lifetime minutes. Paid plans, included minutes, available providers, device limits, and voice tiers are described on the current pricing and billing pages. Usage is measured by YTVT's service records.
Paddle acts as merchant of record for enabled paid checkout and handles payment processing, applicable taxes, invoices, fraud controls, and refund execution. A single-month purchase is a one-time payment for 30 days and does not renew automatically. A discounted recurring monthly subscription renews until auto-renewal is turned off. Turning off auto-renewal prevents the next charge but does not automatically refund the current paid period. See the Subscription and Billing Terms, Billing Plans, Refund Policy, Paddle Buyer Terms, and Paddle Refund Policy.
YTVT provides an additional seven-day refund request period for an eligible first paid purchase, including a first single-month purchase or the first payment of a recurring monthly subscription. This promise does not reduce any mandatory withdrawal, defect, cancellation, or refund right available under applicable law or Paddle's terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use YTVT to violate law or the rights of others; infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, voice, confidentiality, or platform rules; bypass authentication, consent, billing, quotas, or security; attack, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or overload the Service; share accounts to avoid limits; or process content you are not authorized to access.
5. Third-Party Content and AI Output
You are responsible for obtaining the rights, permissions, and consents needed to capture, transmit, translate, listen to, or store third-party audio and content. YTVT does not own content from YouTube or other platforms and is not endorsed by those platforms unless expressly stated.
Translations, subtitles, and translated speech may be inaccurate, delayed, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Do not rely on output as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, safety, or other high-risk decisions.
6. Voice and Subtitle Features
Some providers process voice characteristics during a live session to produce translated speech. This session processing does not create a reusable YTVT voice profile. You must not use YTVT to impersonate, deceive, or violate another person's voice or privacy rights.
The Pro subtitle-document feature is optional and requires separate explicit consent. It stores final subtitles for a limited period and may send a requested document only to the verified account email. You are responsible for lawful use and must not redistribute saved content without permission.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains the information we process, the providers involved, content-retention boundaries, and your choices. Current providers are listed on the Third-Party Service Providers page.
8. Intellectual Property
YTVT software, interfaces, branding, documentation, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Except where law permits otherwise, you may not copy, modify, distribute, rent, resell, decompile, or create derivative works from them. You retain rights in your lawful content and grant us only the limited permission needed to process it to provide the Service.
9. Service Changes and Termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features for security, compliance, provider, cost, product, or operational reasons. Material changes will be communicated where practical. You may stop using YTVT at any time and may request account deletion.
10. Disclaimers and Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YTVT is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy, or availability of every site, language, provider, browser, or region. Liability exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and do not exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any mandatory consumer protections and any court or forum rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain available. Before filing a claim, please contact legal@ytvt.app so the parties can try to resolve the issue informally.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms for legal, security, provider, or product changes. Material changes will be announced by email, in-product notice, or website notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.
